Memory Intrauterine Cannula
(Formerly the Roseff Double Lumen)

Description

Transparent polyethylene cannula:
  • 17 cm long
  • flexible blunt tip and two side ports
Polyethylene tube:
  • OD: 2.10 mm
  • ID: 1.10 mm
  • malleable steel mandrel within the wall of the tube that allows you to curve the cannula prior to insertion
  • mandrel increases the rigidity of the cannula and allows for easy and atraumatic access to the fundus of the uterus
  • standardized adaptor allows connection to a syringe

Indications

Intrauterine Artificial Insemination

The double-lumen shape allows no contact between semen and mandrel while maintaining the necessary rigidity to maneuver difficult cervixes. The cannula allows for easy and atraumatic access to the fundus of the uterus. The position of the apertures allows deposition of the semen close to the tubal orifices.

When loading the Memory IUI, tightly attach a 1ml syringe to the catheter. Draw up approximately 10 micro liters of air. Next, draw up the sperm suspension (0.4ml to 0.5ml) to avoid unnecessary air bubbles in the tip of the catheter. Very little sperm will be left in the catheter as long as the cannula is properly placed in the uterine cavity.
